Custom Egg Grading
Interested in selling your fresh, free-range eggs to your local retail store? It is required by law that eggs are graded at a Federal Egg Grading Station in order to be sold to a retail location, bakery, restaurant, or any third party sales place. The only time eggs are allowed to be sold un-graded is straight from the producer to the direct consumer either through farm-gate sales or farmers markets within Nova Scotia.
How do I know if eggs are graded?
Look for the symbol shown below on the egg carton, a relevant best before date, and the name and location of where the eggs were produced.
